Author : Pip Jones Illustrator :   Laura Hughes Theme :   Children Illustration Score:   5/5 Illustration Comments:  The illustrations are gorgeous. They are done in bright colours with chaotic lines. The illustrations are essential to this book because they leave little clues that make you realise that the kids’ adventure was a game. Does it rhyme?: Yes   Words per page:   How much I enjoyed reading it:  5/5 How much my child enjoyed reading it:  5/5 Is it actually for children or adults?:  Both! This story is such a creative way of teaching children to like whom they like! This book is very funny and sweet (it's also an excellent tool for introducing the con...

The Worst Princess

Author : Anna Kemp Illustrator :   Sara Ogilvie Theme :   Fairy Tale Illustration Score: 5/5 Illustration Comments:  The illustrations are stunning! They are done in a style of medieval tapestries, and go along perfectly with a story about a princess, a knight and a dragon. Does it rhyme?:  Yes Words per page:   How much I enjoyed reading it:  5/5 How much my child enjoyed reading it:  4/5 Is it actually for children or adults?:  Children (and adults) Overall Score:  5/5 Review: This is a fabulous revision of a classic fairy tale in which a princess is rescued from a dragon by a handsome prince. Here, instead of wanting to live in a castle, the princess actually yearns for adventure. She befriends the dragon, and they live happily ever after. The illustrations add even more humour to the story - the facial expressions on the arrogant prince, the bored princess, and the friendly (but fearsome) drago...
