chaotic lines. The illustrations are essential to this book because they leave
little clues that make you realise that the kids’ adventure was a game.

Review: Synopsis: a little girl named Ruby Roo
and her brother Barney are bored on a rainy day. They seem to escape on an
adventure in a jungle with wild animals, rivers and beautiful birds. It turns
out that this was a game they thought up and played with their parents and cat.
This book is really creative - the first time we read it, we did not realise
that the adventure was a game. Our toddler loves the sound effects when the
kids slide down a rope and fly on the bird. Overall, it is Outstanding, and we love it along with the other Ruby Roo books.
